AUDIO VISUAL COMMITTEE

To enhance the quality of the worship service by operating the sound system and videotaping and photographing the church service as well as special programs and activities. Contact Person: Deacon Douglas Committee.

BAPTISTTRAINING UNION

To be trained in and to learn the responsibility of a Christian . Contact Person: Deacon Wesley Curtis.

BEREAVEMENTCOMMITTEE

To render service in any way to bereaved families of New Bethel Baptist Church. Contact Person: Mrs. Elinor Walker.

COMMUNION SINGERS

To carry and serve Communion to sick and shut-in members who request it and sing for church service on the first and third Sunday of each month. Contact Person: Trustee John Lucas.

EFFORTCLUB

To enhance the growth of the church and support every major endeavor of the church as well as scatter deeds of kindness in the community. Contact Person:  Mrs. Lisa Myers.

EMERGENCY
ASSIST. COMMITTEE

To provide emergency assistance as needed to individuals in attendance at New Bethel. Contact Person:  Trustee John Lucas.

FLOWER CLUB

To beautify the church by supplying flowers on Sunday and special occasions. Contact Person: Mrs. Sharon Grooms.

JOURNALISTIC
SOCIETY

To publish the church newspaper, The Spotlight, to do missionary work; and to work cooperatively in any financial drive of the church. Contact Person: Mrs. Hattie Ingram.

LAYMEN'SLEAGUE

To assist the church and Pastor in any effort or project that the church sponsors, providing Christian Education for the men of the church. Contact Person:  Deacon Charles Hunt, Sr.

MASS
CHOIR

To provide music for church services and support the Pastor in endeavors and projects. Contact Person:  Mrs. Jackie Shannon.

SCHOLARSHIP COMMITTEE

To establish criteria for members applying for scholarships and to receive applications and determine if criteria has been met. Contact Person: Ms. Jessica Leach.

MISSIONARY DEPARTMENT

To promote missions and ministry and support the Pastor in endeavors and church affiliated conventions. Contact Person: Mrs. Diane Piggott.

SUNDAYSCHOOL

To teach and discuss God’s Word and to help lead people to Christ. Contact Person: Trustee Eugene Thompson

TRANSPORTATION MINISTRY

To provide transportation to and from the church for members needing it; to provide group transportation to church related functions. Contact: Ms. Brenda Witherspoon 

USHERS AND NURSES BOARD

(Ushers) To greet worshippers and direct them to seats during worship services and other services.  (Nurses) To provide worshippers with assistance such as health-related needs, etc. Contact Person: Mr. Richard Smith &  Ms. Beverly Brown.

VOLUNTEERS FOR CHRISTIAN SERVICES

To include senior citizens in making worthwhile contributions to New Bethel and other needy causes. Contact Person: Ms. Peggy McCullough.

WILLING WORKERS

To aid the Pastor and church through various activities such as visiting the sick and shut-in and community outreach projects. Contact Person: Ms. Robin Macklin.

YOUNG ADULT USHER BOARD

Contact Person: Mr. Carlos Dixon.

Children'sChurch

To create an interactive worship service which allows children, age 5 through age 12, to worship God in their own way.  Through songs, activities, and messages, children will develop and grow in their relationship with Christ and with each other. Contact Persons: Rev. Azurée D. Johnson-Dalton.

New Member's Class

Discipleship of new converts and to acclimate new members to New Bethel Baptist Church, to our religious culture and way of life.  Contact Persons: Deacon Joe Bartley and Mrs. Lennetta Bartley.

Nursery

To provide a safe and developmentally appropriate setting for children age birth through five during our regular worship service. Contact Person: TBD.

Post Master

To foster community by providing an opportunity to share good will in one of the most Holy times of the calendar year for the Christian community ~ Christmas. Contact Person: Mrs. Lennetta Bartley.

Senior Ministry

To give support, information and opportunity to network, among our valuable senior (age 60+) congregants.  This ministry seeks to develop the minds and spiritual well-being of our seniors by building a supportive community that addresses their social, economic and educational needs. YouthMinistry

To help each and every young person grown personally and spiritually.  This ministry strives to provide a variety of opportunities and experiences to draw youth into active, responsible participation in the life, mission and work of the church. Contact Person: Dr. Sydney Richardson
